Celebrating 76 years of the NHS

On Friday 5th July the NHS celebrates its 76th birthday.

This summer’s birthday gives patients, families, staff, and members of the local community the opportunity to come together to celebrate what our incredible NHS staff stand for: compassionate care for everyone who needs it.

Let’s make this the biggest and best birthday celebration yet – and show our staff across North Bristol NHS Trust what they mean to us.

Get involved: NHS Big Tea

As part of its 76th birthday celebrations, the NHS Big Tea is back!

Whether at home, work, or school, you can pick a date around the NHS birthday, on the 5th July, to get together with family, friends, neighbours, and colleagues for your own Big Tea party.

You could:

• GO BIG! Host a fundraising bake sale at home, work, school or in your local community and try to raise as much as possible for Southmead Hospital

• Host a small tea party for family and friends and ask them to donate what they can to support our patients and staff

• Have a quiet cuppa and a slice of cake with a neighbour, and celebrate our NHS
