Introducing our Spring 2023 edition of Southmead Stories

We’ve recently launched the second issue of Southmead Stories, keeping our supporters updated on how donations are making a difference to patients, families and staff at Southmead Hospital.

From comforting items for patients on wards to cutting-edge equipment in labs, discover some of the projects and roles made possible by you – our incredible donors. These include:

• Support for 50 internationally trained doctors, many of whom are displaced from Myanmar, who have been welcomed to Southmead Hospital as Medical Support Workers
• Personal stories from our inspirational fundraisers, including Nicky’s journey from brain surgery to joining our Abseil Adventure
• A clothing bank for patients who do not have suitable clothing, supported by clothes from St Peter’s Hospice retail shops
• An update on the upcoming challenge events available for anyone who wants to fundraise for Southmead Hospital Charity

It’s only with the generosity, dedication and kindness of our donors that the 12,000 staff at North Bristol NHS Trust can continue to deliver the very best care to its one million patients every single year.
